Our 3 week voyage home to the UK started with me dragging myself out of bed at 4:45 am so to get us out the door on time for our 8 am International flight. The kids were troopers and were absolute angels on the flight, each taking a short nap. Ryan was mesmerised by his personal TV screen and Megan was happy either reading / coloring with me with brief bursts of TV. The best part of the whole day though was after we landed and they got to go up and meet the captain. They both got to sit in his chair & wear his hat. Ryan loved it and thought it was brilliant. Megan was eager to do exactly what her brother did but when it actually came down to it she was apprehensive and gave the pilot a funny look when he tried to give her the hat.

man since they busted all the unions the pilots on these planes just get younger and younger.
